Look how quickly states can turn their economy around with a little bit of help from the people who live there.

If you’re wondering why the schools are having such a dramatic turnaround in their funding**, well, it’s not just from having teachers kick in more towards their pension. As I wrote about at the beginning of the month, there’s also something called the Wisconsin Education Association Trust (or WEA Trust). The WEA Trust (which was set up by Big Labor, of course) used to be effectively the only health care provider option available to many school boards… and, seeing as the school boards had no choice but to use it, the WEA Trust was utterly indifferent to market forces. But once labor union reform took effect, lo! – school boards in places like Hartland-Lakeside, Pewaukee, and Menomonee Falls are cheerfully switching their coverage – and why the Kaukauna school district has discovered that WEA Trust is now downright eager to match their new competitors’ lowest prices. It’s amazing how reasonable a seller can get when you suddenly no longer have to buy from him.

The facts that we find in this article are facts that the teachers union does not want us to know about.. Maybe we should dig deeper and see what else we find !

Here we go again.. It is not new news it seems to be the problem with most of the Government agencies and unions these days.

The Postal Service employs three times as many union members as the U.S. auto industry, and, like the auto industry, employee benefit costs are crushing it. Just last month, the Postal Service had to suspend contributions to employee pensions because the agency is already drowning in red ink. Postal employees also earn 15 percent to 20 percent more per hour than comparable workers in the private sector.

Please read the article and the comments it is interesting. Same old problem to many supervisors and chief making the big bucks while the small employees keep paying their dues.

Today is a huge day for those who think free enterprise and open competition should determine how taxpayer-funded construction contracts are awarded in America.

Lawmakers in Maine and Michigan passed bills that ban government-mandated PLAs on state funded construction.  Once they are signed into law, they will ensure that taxpayers get the best construction at the best price.  They will also guarantee that all construction workers have a fair opportunity to build projects funded by their own tax dollars and not just the well-connected minority that belong to a construction trade union.

Open Competition Bill Passage Signals New Era of Accountability

Thank Heaven for Organizations like The Heritage Foundation. They keep us informed in ways that the “Media” does not today…and we learn the Truth. The Heritage Foundation wrote this story about what is really going on in Wisconsin and Many other States.

Like many states, Wisconsin this year found itself drowning in an ocean of overspending and suffering the fourth highest tax burden in the country. In this fiscal nightmare, public-sector unions fashioned for themselves a cushy, taxpayer-funded existence, disconnected from the realities of the state’s economic woes. Heritage’s James Sherk explains just how sweet that deal was: Until now, government employees in Wisconsin paid just 6 percent of their health care premiums and next to nothing for generous pensions, and the average teacher in Milwaukee makes $101,000 a year. Government union contracts also require layoffs to occur on the basis of seniority. Long-time government employees can rest assured that they will never get laid off.

Are you kidding me that is the problem . We can not get rid of  BAD  Employees because they are protected by Union Laws. In real America if you do NOT do the job your GONE !!

We all understand why the Unions are dying out. Americans can not afford to pay 20% to 30% more to have a Union Company do the same job a Non-Union Company can do, with as much quality and usually on schedule. Many times the Union Companies fall behind schedule because of all the rules and regulations they have to follow.

Looks like the NLRB is up to it’s same old dirty tricks.

The NLRB has begun to sue states whose citizens voted to protect themselves from coercion and intimidation by adding secret ballot guarantees to their state constitutions, as well as attempting to deny a major corporation from operating a facility in a right-to-work state, which would create thousands of new jobs.

Why is the board attacking right-to-work states in a down economy? Perhaps it is due to the overwhelming and unmistakable connection between this administration and Big Labor bosses whose political spending has propelled not just President Obama to his position, but consequently, their allies into appointed positions of influence within government, starting with agencies such as the NLRB.

And it’s not as if union bosses are shying away from bragging about their access and influence. Just a few weeks ago, the president of the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) Richard Trumka said, “I’m at the White House a couple times a week – two or three times a week … I have conversations every day with someone in the White House or in the administration. Every day. And that includes weekends, by the way.”

Republican members of the Wisconsin State Senate received the following email threat late Wednesday following the Senate vote to end some collective  bargaining rights and stop mandatory union membership by government workers. More concerning is the lack of coverage and outrage by the Main Street media and the White House. Members of the media were quick  to blame the tea party movement for the tragedy in Arizona that left Congresswoman Giffords injured and several people dead. Serious threats coming from “their side” seem to be less important.

Can you imagine if the Tea Party would do anything like this…. We have had enough of the Double Standard where is the MEDIA!!!!!

Please put your things in order because you will be killed and your familes will also be killed due to your actions in the last 8 weeks. Please explain to them that this is because if we get rid of you and your families then it will save the rights of 300,000 people and also be able to close the deficit that you have created. We take threats such as this very seriously. To the protester’s credit, events in Wisconsin have been so far, largely peaceful. We can only pray that those responsible for these threats are arrested quickly and prosecuted. Lack of outrage by the Main Street media will only embolden extremists bent on using violence to get their way.

We as Americans have to expose this to our fellow Honest … Friends . please read this letter and pass it to your friends .. You know the MEDIA will not.
